Entry 5-Success Project- The Design Brief

The design brief is the starting point of the design, that states the expectations and design problem. The task is to create 10 posters of each IB Learner Profile quality. The goal is to gain an understanding of all the IB Leaner Profile qualities. The people, we aim to target are the students of the school, parents families, visitors, department of education, and staffteachers. The major constraints are inappropriate signs, 8 12 x11", the proper grammar and spelling must be used and all students must be in full uniform unless prior permission has been granted. The criterion that a good design should meet are three things, the image must reflect the title, the image must be clear, and creative. The specification is the key points and or constraints that designs must take account of. The project is due Oct.14,2009 and must be emailed and the Design Folio's must be handed in on Oct.22,2009.

Entry 3: What are the AREAS OF INTERACTION that have been highlighted by your teacher for this design task?How might they be interpreted to help you understand the problem and help you with your research?

The Areas of Interaction that have been highlighted are Approches to Learning and Human Ingenuity.

Approches to Learning are guides that will help us to learn based on our study habits, communication, information, reflection, and connecting of ideas.

Human Ingenuity we will learn desktop publishing, marketing and advertising based on using the skills in approches to learning.

1.) What IB Learner Profile I think will imply an important message to our peers and fellow clasmates?

2.) How will I illustrate the IB Learner Profile based on the caption that will be displayed above, the caption ?

Entry 1: Explain in your own words the design task that you have been asked to solve.

I have been asked to work in a group and create a multi-page word document with a personal picture illustrating each of the ten principles of the IB Learner Profile. The page will include a picture, a caption, and the title of the IB Learner Profile quality.
